Of all the reflections which flashed through George’s mind
during the final milliseconds preceding the inevitable thud that
was about to deaden all his senses, his persistent drive to
engage in do–it–yourself projects stood out above the rest. A
self–made man, he strove to show the world that if he tried
hard enough, he could do anything and everything. Yet, his
decision to pack his own parachute was quickly proving to be
the exception to that rule.
