The fourth book in the Underland series continues Gregor's saga through wars, prophecies, and the usual cast of characters. Despite the fact that Gregor finally shows some emotional growth (falling in love with Luxa), this book did not grab me as much as the earlier volumes. Perhaps the repetitive nature of his experiences is becoming mundane for me. Nonetheless, it carried on nicely where the third book left off, and the cliffhanger at the end of this book made me reach for the fifth, and final, book in the series.
At this point, book one remains my favorite.
